IPHONE 4: LCD PROBLEMS! **UPDATE**

UPDATE: from IPHONE4: LCD PROBLEMS!

Earlier today, I went back to the store to return the defective IPhone 4 LCD. I arrived at around 11:30am in Farmers Plaza Cubao. Since there were two customers, I waited for them to finish.  The technician was fixing the customer's Samsung S4.

Anyway, when it was my turn, I explained to the technician that my phone has flickering lines. He saw it through his naked eyes. He immediately removed the LCD and asked the lady assistant to get another LCD. I still remember the exact words he said.. "Kuhanin mo na yun maganda, para hindi na pabalik balik si ate". ( Get the most working unit so she won't come back again ) . I told him, You should have done that yesterday. I observed that it has a sticker with bigger print of "Original Pass". The previous LCDs had stickers too but with smaller print.

And so he replaced it with the "most working LCD". I stayed for a couple of minutes to test if its working properly. He even connected my phone to their wifi so I can also connect and check if the internet's working. I opened some applications like FB, twitter and instagram. I also sent an imessgae to my husband. He told me to check everything including the camera and print screen.
The technician asked me not to remove the sticker on the screen for two weeks.  I just noticed that the light is too bright. My battery is draining fast. I don't want it to consider as another problem. My glass screen is okay, the LCD is working fine ( well, as of now...) I just hope that I won't encounter another problem again.

IPHONE 4: LCD PROBLEMS!

TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR IPHONE!

Ohemmgeee! My IPhone 4 screen was broken! Yeah, the gorilla glass was broken. I accidentally dropped it. As soon I saw the shattered front glass cover, I immediately find a way to replace it. I looked into the internet and typed www.olx.ph ( formerly known as sulit ) and then I found an ad for Iphone LCD/ front glass replacement. The store is located in Farmers Cubao. ( 4th floor , stall M9 - 11 )

The amount is 1,800 pesos per LCD/ glass replacement. ( well, it depends upon the unit.)
It says Free Installation and 1 month warranty.

I went there with a friend last Sunday and had it replaced. I checked it before I left the store. I thought it was working fine since I double checked it before we left. Hooray! Problem is solved..
( broken gorilla glass screen is fixed! ) Yeah right!
But when i got home, I noticed that it was dim even in full blast brightness. I compared it to my nephew's IPhone4 and I was right, it was dimmer. Afterwards, I noticed a yellow spot on the upper side of the screen, on the side of the battery to be specific. I was a bit pissed because why on earth didn't i notice that earlier when we were in the store. Ofcourse it's a mall, the area has lots of lights. So I texted the technician since the item has warranty ( just don't remove the screen protector that comes with the new glass screen). He replied and told me to comeback so he can change the lcd.

Earlier today, Monday, I went there. I showed him the unit and he also agreed that it wasn't as bright as before. So he got 2 more stocks and tried both. The first one, was okay, (  I thought so.. ) and the second one was too bright. So I decided to get the first one. He tested it and worked fine. I also checked it because I don't want to go back again and have it replaced again. ( I'm from Rizal so I spent 2 1/2 hours travel time to Cubao ). Another Hooray! Problem is solved.. ( screen is fixed! ) Yeah right!?!
Well then, I thought It was okay cause It was working pretty fine UNTIL this afternoon.....
I noticed a few lines on the upper part of my phone while fb'ing... I was shocked! It is flickering with horizontal lines!!! There it goes again, another defect! I'm so disappointed right now because I have to return again the LCD and have it replaced.
As of now, more lines is seen on the screen. MORE FLICKERING HORIZONTAL LINES! Not just the upper part but the bottom part too! Same thing happens when using the camera, when in Messages, even when on standby. You can see the lines dancing.
( Imagine your television screen when it is grounded or something is interrupting the channel ). I switched it off to avoid further damage.  It might affect the motherboard.
I can't let it go because of its sentimental value.

NOW, I have a working touchscreen but the LCD is defective!

sighhhh..... I can't blame the technician since he is accommodating and helpful,  but to their products!!! I don't know where the heck did they get it. ( well, I have the idea where.. you know what I mean ) but I think these should pass the so called " Quality Assurance" before coming out of the market. The consumers are the one who suffer.

I'll go back to the store again tomorrow and hopefully it will be okay. I wish that that's the last time I'll be bringing back my phone again for replacement.

So I advice YOU, IPhone User or Not, Please be careful with your gadgets. As much as possible, don't drop it. It's so hard to take chances in replacing your LCD/glass cover.  The Originals are still the best.
